About us :
Harsh Pati Singh Maha Vidyalaya (H.P.S. College), a constituent unit of L.N.Mithila University, Darbhanga (Bihar) falls in Dharmanand Nagar, in Madhepur district of Bihar. This area has born the brunt of the ravages of river Koshi and Kamala. The first High School was founded in the year 1911. In this economically lagging and educationally backward area, this Degree level college was founded in the year 1972 by Late Prof. Dharmanand Singh, adoyer of Khandwala Dynasty which had ruled over Mithila since the time of Great Akbar. This benign endeavour of Mr. Singh made possible for the desirous boys and girls of this area to get higher education.
