STET 2023: Bihar School Examination Board has released the date of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test ( STET) 2023. Committee chairman Anand Kishore said that STET will be organized from April 6 to 24, 2023. The exam will be conducted online. The online application process for appearing in CTET will start on February 1. Applications can be made till February 14. STET admit card will be issued on March 24. After the examination, objections can be lodged on the answer key from May 2 to 5, 2023. What is Bihar STET (BSTET)?

Bihar Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) is conducted by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) to determine the eligibility of candidates as Secondary level teachers (Class 9- 10) and Higher Secondary level teachers (Class 11- 12). The Bihar STET exam comprises two papers, Paper 1 (Secondary) and Paper 2 (Higher Secondary). Candidates need to pass the written exam to become eligible for teaching posts in different schools under Bihar Government. Apart from that, the exam is also conducted to determine the eligibility of Physical Education Teachers.

Bihar STET application form 2022 will be released online. Candidates need to follow the steps given below to fill out the application form:

  • Visit the official website of Bihar STET.
  • Click on the tab ‘Register new candidate’.
  • Enter the required details.
  • Login to the registered user section and fill out the application form.
  • Upload a scanned copy of the photograph and signature.
  • Proceed to pay the Bihar STET application fee.
  • Submit and save the confirmation page

Bihar STET Eligibility Criteria 2023

A candidate will be considered eligible for Bihar STET if he or she meets the following parameters:

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a resident of Bihar.

Age Limit: The age of applicants must be between 21 and 40 years. However, there is a relaxation in the Bihar STET age limit for the reserved categories.

Bihar STET Selection Process 2023

Bihar STET application: BSEB invites online applications for Secondary and Higher Secondary teachers.  Candidates need to apply online by visiting the official website of BSEB.

Bihar STET admit card: BSEB releases Bihar STET admit card one week before the written examination. Candidates need to download the admit card or hall tickets from the link given on the official website.

Bihar STET examination: BSEB conducts the written exam for both the levels, Secondary and Higher Secondary. The exam is conducted as per the Bihar STET syllabus and exam pattern prescribed by the BSEB.

Bihar STET answer key: BESB releases the Bihar STET answer key after the conduct of the written exam. Candidates can send their objections if they find a discrepancy in the official answer key. The final answer key is released after the board analyses the objections received from candidates.

Bihar STET result: BSEB releases the Bihar STET result after the completion of the assessment process.

Bihar STET Qualifying Marks 2022

Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks to clear the tests. A candidate from the general category needs to secure 50 per cent marks to qualify for the exam and candidates from other categories must secure 45 per cent marks to qualify. The Bihar STET exam for Physical Education and Physical Trainer is conducted separately. The qualifying percentage remains the same as that of Paper 1 and Paper 2.
