Bihar: The Health Department has started the process of appointing about nine thousand additional doctors in some other specialist hospitals including the Medical College Hospitals of the state. New posts have been created by the Health Department for Medical College Hospitals, Physiotherapy Colleges and some other hospitals.
The phase-wise recruitment process is starting on these. The work of appointment is going on for some, while for the rest, the appointment will be done as per the need. In view of the increasing number of dental patients in the department, the process of appointment of Dental Hygienists on 702 posts for the cooperation of Dental Surgeons is in the final stage.
A TOTAL OF 2673 POSTS WILL BE FILLED IN NINE HOSPITALS AND EIGHT COLLEGES
The process of phase-wise recruitment of 2673 posts will begin to fulfil the criteria of NMC in nine working medical college hospitals and eight proposed medical colleges of the state. In this, phase-wise restoration is to be done in the departments of Emergency Medicine, Hospital Administration, Health Administration, Sports Medicine etc.
3990 POSTS WILL BE FILLED ON THE BASIS OF BOND
The department has started the process of appointing a total of 3990 posts on the basis of bonds from PG and Diploma passed students in the government medical colleges of the state. In this, 1330 posts will be appointed by the department in the year 2023. The recruitment process has been started for a total of 67 posts in Bihar College of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Kankarbagh. In this, 21 posts are to be appointed for Occupational Therapy, 43 posts for Artificial Organ Manufacturing Center and three other posts.
229 POSTS WILL BE APPOINTED IN PMCH
To meet the standards of the National Medical Commission in Patna Medical College Hospital, preparations are being made to take applications in the department to start the process of appointment to 229 posts in various super speciality departments.
This includes teaching and non-teaching positions in the departments of Gynecological Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Preventive Oncology and Medical Physics. Enrollment will be done on 100-100 seats of MBBS in Shri Ram Janki Medical College Hospital of Samastipur, Government Medical College Hospital of Purnia and Government Medical College Hospital of Chhapra.
