Government will provide Book bank for Competitive Exams to Sc / ST Students in Bihar

Scheduled Tribe (ST) and SC (Scheduled Catse) students in the state will not have to wander for expensive and necessary books for competitive exams. The government will provide such books to them for reading and preparing for competitive exams. The Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare Department has prepared a comprehensive plan for this. Keeping in mind the needs of these students, book banks will be established in all pre-examination centres. It has already started in some places. But it will be installed in all pre-examination centers in a phased manner.

The department has approved Rs 6 lakh for book banks in these centers for the year 2022-23. With this, a book bank will be established for Scheduled Tribe students at these centres. Recently, Rs 2 lakh was also released for this scheme. Apart from Patna, book banks are being established in Bhojpur, Gaya, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Bhagalpur, Munger, Purnia and Saharsa. A quota of 20-20 thousand rupees has been fixed in these districts.It will also be implemented in other districts in the next phase. In fact, at this time the students belonging to the Scheduled Tribes are facing many difficulties in preparing for the competitive exams. The biggest problem in this is the books. Books for competitive exams are very expensive and multiple books are required for preparation.

But it is not possible for the Scheduled Tribe students to buy them. Due to this, they lag behind in preparation. This adversely affects their selection. The government believes that this book bank will not only encourage them for preparation but will also help them in this.

Book banks will be established in all pre-examination centers :

  • Bhojpur,
  • Patna,
  • Gaya,
  • Saran,
  • Muzaffarpur,
  • Darbhanga,
  • Bhagalpur,
  • Munger,
  • Purnia and Saharsa.
