About College:
The Directorate of Distance Education in L.N.M.U. is established in year 1998 vide University Letter No. P/D 54-139/96, dated 07.02.1998. Dr. Harendra Singh the controller of examination, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga was the First Director in-charge of the Directorate of Distance Education. The task assigned to him was to formulate as prepare the proposal for starting Distance Education from session 1998-99 with the approval of different Bodies of L.N.M.U. However the Directorate becomes functional and operative in 2005 with the launching of B.Ed. Programme in collaboration with IGNOU. The Directorate is now offering U.G., P.G., B.Lis., M.Lis and Professional Programmes like B.Ed. (ODL) as well as B.Ed. in regular mode with the approval of U.G.C.-DEB, N.C.T.E. and State of Bihar Government.

Admission Process:
For B.Ed Admission: Candidates with at least fifty percent marks either in the Bachelor Degree and /or in the Master Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanity, Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualificationequivalent are eligible for admission to the programme.
