Government Polytechnic, Asthawan, Nalanda was founded on April 30, 2013. It is situated in Asthawan block, 15 Kilometer (Approximately) from Biharsharif, District headquarters of Nalanda. It is a government funded institution. It has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and recognized by Department of Science & Technology, Government of Bihar and affiliated to State Board of Technical Education, Patna. It was inaugurated on August 20,2015 by the Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar. The Government Polytechnic, Asthawan, Nalanda offers diploma in four branches: Civil Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Admission Process: Students are admitted to the college through the ranking secured in DCECE. The counselling for the same is conducted by BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam) board under the Government of Bihar. Application Forms are filled through online mode alone.
