Advertisement for the recruitment of 1767 Amins came out in January 2020
A single bench of High Court Judge PB Bajanthri had quashed the advertisement issued by the State Government’s Revenue Department in January 2020 for the reinstatement of 1767 vacant posts of Amin in the state. The court had directed the state government to start the process of recruitment by publishing a fresh advertisement in three months for the restoration of 1767 vacant posts of Amiens. This direction was given by the single bench of Justice PB Bajanthri while hearing several writ petitions filed by petitioner Ram Babu Azad and others.
Amin’s degree was challenged by the candidates in the High Court
On behalf of the petitioner, the court was told that the qualification published by the state government in the advertisement for the educational qualification for the reinstatement to the post of Amin was not in accordance with the provisions. According to the Bihar Amin Cadre Rule, the candidate should have passed 12th with Amanat’s degree or Surveyor’s degree through ITI. According to the educational qualification that was placed in the advertisement issued by the Revenue Department of the State Government, it was sufficient for the candidate to pass only the 12th standard. Regarding this issue, the candidates holding the degree of Amin challenged this advertisement published by the state government by filing a writ in the Patna High Court.
