Detailed Information And History Of The RDJM Medical College

The major campus of the society has been established by the name of RADHA DEVI JAGESHWARI MEMORIAL MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL in Muzaffarpur which is the gateway of North-East states of India and also Nepal and Bhutan. The foundation of the campus at Muzaffarpur was laid by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India on 16th July 2009.

The services of this Institute were recognized by Govt. of India which honoured this Institute by conferring a national award to the President of India under the best Institution category in 2004. This Institution thrives on extending quality service delivery in health and education. Human resource development is the key objective of this institute and has excelled at the national level specially in special education and rehabilitation.

The primary function for which this Institute has been engaged is in the area of health services. After gaining considerable experience in the health sector, this Institute is successfully running a 350 bedded hospital and is on its way to starting degree courses in medical education (MBBS), and certificate/Diploma courses in Para Medical. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board has changed the second phase enrollment date for enrollment to 85 per cent of MBBS seats in the state. Admission permission to a private medical college has been
increased by 150 seats in the private medical college.

BCECEB Controller of Examinations said that RDJM Medical College Hospital Turkey Muzaffarpur has been permitted to enrol in MBBS for the session 2022-23. The Health Department has informed to include RDJM Medical College Hospital in the ongoing counselling on the basis of UGMAC-2022. The first phase of counselling has been completed.

Now the second round of counselling is under process.
